Chief Instructor: Rob King

Rob has been teaching martial arts for over 20 years and has won medals at national level. Rob has an honours degree in Sport Science and is a qualified School PE Teacher. He worked for eight years at the Douglas Bader Sports Centre in Oxford running gymnastics classes, weight training courses and holiday activity courses. He is a qualified Black Belt Martial Arts Instructor, Gymnastics Coach (British Gymnastics), and Sport Acrobatics Teacher (British Gymnastics).

 

 

   

Instructor: Mary Stevens

Mary is also a qualified school teacher and has worked in children’s fitness since 1996. She has a degree from Oxford University, is a qualified aerobics instructor (YMCA), a TOP SportTrainer (Youth Sports Trust), and is a certified FitClub Coach in Team Combat (children’s martial fitness) and AeroKidz/Aerojam (dance fitness).

 

   

Instructor:Jake Wilson                                                                                                                              With over 6 years of training in martial arts and business management, Jake combines a high level of skill with a huge amount of patience.  He is a great Black Belt role model for kids and his enthusiasm, interest and technical skill make him equally popular with adult clients. Jake is also CRB checked and First Aid trained.

   

Instructor: Claire Maden

Claire has over 8 years experience in martial arts, and has pursued a career in sports instruction. Since achieving her National Diploma in Sports Science, she has taken Premier Trainings' gym and personal training qualifications, coaching certificates in martial arts and football. Like all OSMA staff Claire is CRB checked and First Aid trained.

   

Programme Leader for Mini Karate: Theresa Quinn

Theresa has a psychology degree specialising in Child Psychology. She has had eight years’ experience working with 0-5 year olds in Early Years settings. She also has a Certificate in Education and has been course leader, lecturer and NVQ assessor in Child Education, Development and Psychology. She is a British Gymnastics Early Years FUNdamentals Leader and has had movement play training. She is also a Paediatric First Aider and CRB checked. Theresa also assists in the children’s martial arts classes. She is a mum of two, who trains 3 times a week with Oxford School of Martial Arts.  She is a consultant to their leadership programme
